Eiffel Tower, Seine Cruise and Illuminated Paris - Itinerary

You will be picked up from 214 Rue Rivoli at 18.00 and travel by coach. Your tour has recorded commentary in 15 languages. This tour comprises a visit to the Eiffel Tower, a cruise on the Seine and a tour of the illuminated attractions of Paris.

Start with a visit to The Eiffel Tower. Designed by Gustave Eiffel, this is one of the best recognised attractions of Paris and one of the most visited monuments in the world. It was built for the International Exhibition of Paris in 1889 to commemorate the centenary of the French Revolution. The Prince of Wales, later King Edward VII of England, had inaugurated the tower. You will go to the second level of the tower from where you will enjoy splendid views.

The next part of your itinerary is a one hour Seine Cruise with commentary. This cruise offers you wonderful views of the city and its landmarks.

After dusk, the brilliantly lit monuments and squares of the city present a lovely picture for you to enjoy. On this last part of the tour you will be taken by coach to see some of the spectacular illuminated buildings. Some of the popular attractions that you will see are:
Place de la Concorde: This is the most popular square in Paris with a pink granite obelisk which is almost 3300 years old. It was given to France by the viceroy and Pasha of Egypt. The female statues adorning the four corners of the square represent France’s eight largest cities.
Champs-Elysees: This Paris avenue is one of the most famous streets in the world, with cinemas, cafés and fashionable boutiques. At the very heart of Paris, it is one of the most symbolic places in the city, representative of its spirit and glory.
The Paris Opera: The most important opera house in Paris and an extremely beautiful building.
The Arc de Triomphe: One of the most famous monuments in Paris, this great arch stands at the western end of the Champs-Élysées. The Arc de Triomphe is engraved with the names of generals who commanded French troops during Napoleon's regime.

You will return to 214 Rue Rivoli at around 22.00.
