Casablanca and Rabat Private Tour - Itinerary

You will be picked up from your hotel in Casablanca at 0800h (8am). You will travel in a private vehicle accompanied by a guide to Casablanca, Morocco’s largest city and Rabat, the country’s capital.

Your tour starts from the United Nations Place. This lively square is the focal point of Casablanca and a popular meeting point for the city’s residents. Continue to the Mohammed V Square. Set around a central fountain at the heart of the city, the buildings which surround the square are fine examples of French colonial architecture.

Explore the Habbous Quarter (the “new” part of the city.). At the heart of this area is Casablanca’s Royal Palace. Also visit the Anfa region. This is the oldest residential area of the city and today is the most upper-class.

You will have the option of enjoying a traditional lunch in a local restaurant.

In the afternoon your guide will escort you to see the Hassan II mosque, which is a stunning piece of Islamic architecture and craftsmanship. It is also the largest religious monument in the world, after Mecca. (Outside visit only).

Your final stop in Casablanca is the Ain Diab region of the city. The most cosmopolitan area of the city, this part of the Atlantic coast is lined with restaurants, bars and swimming pools and is where Casablanca’s elite come to relax.

Start your Rabat city tour with The Kasbah of the Oudayas, the official residence of Moroccan royalty. Proceed to the Hassan Tower and the Mosque. Both these monuments are unfinished yet a symbol of Moroccan history. Within the same complex is the splendid Mohammed V Mausoleum. It houses the tombs of the Moroccan king and his two sons. The tower, the mosque and the mausoleum form the most important historical complex in Rabat.

Following this you will explore the area which surrounds the Royal Palace and have some time at leisure in this wonderful city.

At the end of the tour you will be returned to your hotel. You will reach Casablanca at around 1330h (1.30pm).
